Installation Instructions
Detailed installation instructions are included in the README.txt file found in the downloaded zip file. Here are the highlights:
- iHOC Query is a .NET program. As such, it requires the MS .NET Framework 1.1 to be installed on the target machine prior to attempting to install iHOC. The .NET Framework is completely free and is required to execute any .NET software.
- If you are planning on using iHOC to access DB2/400, you will need to install IBM's iSeries Access for Windows, Version 5.3: specifically, you will need to install the .NET Managed Provider. This component is NOT selected or installed by default under any configuration, including "FULL". You must actively select it during the installation, or during a subsequent "Selective Upgrade".
- To Install iHOC, simply double click the included .MSI file, which will launch the iHOC Query Installer program. If you are reinstalling iHOC, be sure to completely uninstall any previous version first.
